Our Mission

Inspire
Heal
Connect
Our mission is to use the power of music to inspire individuals to rise above their challenges; support healing through stress reduction, pain relief, and coping with treatment and grief; and foster meaningful connections between people of diverse backgrounds through shared musical memories and experiences.

Inspire

Our first pillar is dedicated to inspiring others. This goal is at the heart of what we do, and our organization is uniquely equipped to fulfill it. The music we share is well-arranged and performed by our exceptional group of classically trained musicians. What sets us apart, however, is that we bring this transformative music to those who may not have the opportunity to seek out or have access to such experiences. Whether due to physical limitations, ongoing medical treatments, financial challenges, unfamiliarity with such musical genres, or the emotional weight of personal struggles, we strive to reach those whose circumstances might otherwise prevent them from experiencing the healing power of music.

Heal

Our second pillar is centered around using music to support healing. The preliminary research that has been done so far suggests that music-based interventions may be helpful for anxiety, depressive symptoms, and pain associated with a variety of health conditions. We bring our performances multiple times a month to various adult day health care facilities where many suffer from neurocognitive disorders and geriatric syndromes. As we bring familiar music of their era to popular music of the current day, our audiences experience an internal harmony that only music can bring, walking alongside the listener through both the uplifting and the profound moments of life.

Connect

Our third pillar concerns using music to foster meaningful connections. Whether it’s a generational, cultural, or preferential difference, our mission is to cross different barriers, creating rich and engaging experiences that feel both familiar and exciting, personal yet shared. Music becomes a bridge, not just a form of entertainment, triggering emotions and memories, making the listeners feel more open and connected. These experiences ultimately highlight how much we all share, regardless of the music’s origin or style. In doing so, we reveal that there are more similarities than differences when it comes to the things that move us.

“3 in 5 healthcare workers reported experiencing burnout, with more than 50% saying that their work environment negatively affected their mental health”.

-2021 survey by the American Psychological Association (APA)

The music is not just for people receiving services, but also for the people who are behind bringing the services and care. A 2021 survey by the American Psychological Association (APA) found that 3 in 5 healthcare workers reported experiencing burnout, with more than 50% saying that their work environment negatively affected their mental health. As music can motivate patients to participate in treatments and make personal choices to further work toward their recovery, our music can provide the spark, drive, and passion within service providers and caretakers to continue to use their gifts for healing and restoring members in our community as they experience a restorative state themselves.
